I frequently receive referrals for children who are not complying with adult authority, or are having difficulty managing anger. Quiet frequently from the parent’s perspective the problem lies specifically with the child who is problematic. At other times parents will clearly state that they believe their children’s behavior and stress is directly related to their own stress. They may ask for help to improve their communications and look for ways to reduce their own personal stress which may be affecting their child or children. Is my stress level related to my child’s emotionality and behavior?
